Our Repair Café is run in conjunction with The Library of Stuff and its Founder/Director, Alan Dalgairns.
Alan offers you the opportunity to book a session and bring down anything that needs repairing, from heaters and speakers to mobile phones and lawnmowers. If he doesn’t have the spare parts available, he’ll find them online and show you where to order them from, then fix your item when they arrive.
The Repair Café is an easy and accessible way to reduce wastage and save money, plus it’s great for the environment. Over the years, Alan has repaired steam mops, 3D printers, LED lights, smart tablets, DVD players, toasters, solar panels, vacuum cleaners, hair straighteners, baby monitors, e-scooters and much, much more. As of January 2024, this has reduced carbon emissions by 764kg and saved our community £6,714 in replacement costs!
